Bible Verses for a Funeral
Choosing a reading for a funeral is a hard thing to do with a heavy heart. You are looking for words that tell the truth about loss and still leave a door open to hope. The verses gathered here have been read at gravesides and memorials for generations, not because they tidy grief away, but because they sit with it honestly. Some speak of God keeping the broken-hearted close. Some look ahead, to a morning when every tear is wiped away. Read a few of them slowly. The right one often chooses you.
