Common questions
- How were these verses chosen?
- A person chose them, not an algorithm. For each feeling we picked a handful of verses that have genuinely steadied people over the years, and wrote a short word to go alongside. Tap any verse to read more.
- What if my feeling is not in the list?
- Try the closest one, or browse the verses by topic. The feelings overlap more than you might think, and a verse for the weary often speaks to the overwhelmed too.
- What if I am really struggling, not just having a hard day?
- Please reach out to someone you trust. A verse is a real comfort, but it is not a substitute for help. In the UK you can call the Samaritans free on 116 123, day or night, or speak to your GP. You are not a burden for asking.
- Can I share these verses with someone?
- Yes, freely. Copy the words, or make an image to send with our free verse image maker. Sometimes the kindest thing is the right verse at the right moment.
