Privacy policy

Last updated 02/06/2026

We want 316 Quotes to be a calm, safe place to read and share Scripture, and that includes being straight with you about privacy. The short version: we run a simple website, we are not in the business of collecting your data, and we do not sell anything about you to anyone.

Who we are

316 Quotes is an independent Christian publishing project based in the United Kingdom. If you have any question about this policy or your information, email us at 316quotes@btinternet.com and a real person will reply.

What we collect

Almost nothing. You can read the whole site without giving us any personal details. There are no accounts to create, and there is no login.

  • If you email us or use a contact form, we receive what you send (your name, your email address and your message) and we use it only to reply to you. We do not add you to any list.
  • Hosting logs. Our site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like almost all websites, the host may process basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and keep the service secure. We do not use this to identify you.

Cookies and analytics

We do not run advertising, we do not set advertising cookies, and we never try to follow you around the web or sell anything about you.

To see how the site is doing without tracking anyone, we use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics. These count visits in the aggregate (which pages are popular, roughly where visitors arrive from) using the basic, anonymous request information our host already handles. They set no cookies, do not identify you, and need no permission from you.

We also use Google Analytics for a fuller picture of how the site is used. To keep this respectful of your privacy, we run it in Google's "consent mode". Until you say yes, it sets no cookies and sends only anonymous, aggregated signals that cannot identify you. When you accept the short banner shown on your first visit, it switches on one small analytics cookie that lets us measure visits more accurately. Either way, Google Analytics does not store your IP address, and we never use it for advertising or to build a profile of you. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie preferences link at the foot of every page, or by clearing cookies in your browser.

Either way, the whole site works exactly the same. If we ever change how the site uses cookies, we will update this page.

Other websites we link to

We sometimes link to other Christian resources we have found helpful. Once you click through, you are on their website, and their own privacy policy and cookie practices apply, not ours. We would gently encourage you to read those if you are unsure.

Affiliate disclosure

We want to be honest about money. 316 Quotes is run out of love for Scripture, not for profit, and the verses, reflections and images here are free to use and share. From time to time we may include an affiliate link, for example to a book we genuinely recommend, which means we could earn a small commission if you buy through it. It never costs you any more, and we will only ever recommend something because we think it is worth it, not because of a commission. Where a link is an affiliate link, we will say so.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask what information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Because we hold so little, this is usually as simple as asking us to delete an email you sent. Just write to 316quotes@btinternet.com and we will sort it out.

Children

This site is suitable for all ages, but it is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the site works in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this page and change the date at the top. The latest version will always live here.
