Remembrance Sunday
Remembrance Sunday asks a lot of a service. It holds grief and gratitude in the same breath, honours sacrifice, and looks for a peace that outlasts every war. These verses are chosen to carry that weight gently: the greater love that lays down its life, the God who is our refuge, the comfort for those who still mourn, and the sure hope of a day when sorrow ends.

A note for planning
Keep the tone quiet and unhurried. A single verse held on screen through the two-minute silence can say more than many words. Avoid anything that sounds triumphant; this is a day for honesty and hope, not slogans.
