Nehemiah leaves a secure position to rebuild Jerusalem's broken walls. He prays, plans, organises and stands firm against pressure. The finished wall is not the final aim. The people also need renewed worship, justice and commitment, so the book connects strong leadership with repentance and shared responsibility.
