Ecclesiastes examines work, pleasure, wealth, time and death with unusual honesty. Much of life feels like mist that cannot be held. The Teacher refuses shallow optimism, yet still receives food, friendship and work as gifts from God. The book teaches us to live wisely inside limits we cannot control.
